The pickrest is a maple burl carved to hold the picks for fast donning and shedding — very useful when switching instruments as often as I do. As the pickrest has generated much curiosity, I include a photo sequence of how it works. Scroll down.
|Left: Slide the fingers into the picks. Center: Curling the fingers pulls the picks out of their sockets. Right: remove the fingers and presto! the picks are on. Reverse for removal.|
